Tensions Between China, Taiwan, and the United States.

 Brief History

Historically China has consistently ruled over Taiwan until Japan conquered China in 1895 and ruled over the island till 1945, a period of 50 years.

China took control over the island after Japan lost in the Second World War. During this period, the Chinese civil war which had being fought from August 1927 to December 1949 was in an advanced stage. The civil war was fought mainly between the Koumintong led government of the Republic of China (ROC) and the main opposition, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forces. Koumintong's party, China Nationalist Party which was then in government lost the civil war and moved to Taiwan as the main opposition and reformed another Republic of China after the CCP on mainland China had named the country the People's Republic of China (PRC). In other words they created two Chinas. Western countries which obviously were against communism refered to both countries as ROC.

In January 1942, the United States, Republic of China, Soviet Union and the Great Britain had declared the United Nations Organisation which was officially established in October 1945 after a total of 51 countries pledge to declare war against Germany and Japan in the Second World War.

This group called the United Nations Organisation on October 25, 1971 voted on a resolution to recognize only on China. They finally settled on mainland China which is the modern day China, PRC.

What's happening now?

Taiwan formally of ROC, which had been under Chinese control now somehow rules itself in a democratic way.
China wants to take full control of Taiwan.
The US who according to the October 1971 resolution does not recognize Taiwan now say Taiwan is an emerging democracy hence vow to protect Taiwan from any possible Chinese invasion.
US Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi would likely visits Taiwan as part of her Asia your.
China view the presence of any American official in the territories of Taiwan as a threat as has equally threatened to react violently.

China has already sent tanks, fighter jets and other military equipments to Taiwan to combat any opposition from the US.

Why Taiwan?

Taiwan is the biggest producer of micro chips and electronics in the world. An estimated 90% of micro chips which currently runs the world technologically is being produced in Taiwan. These chips are used in a wide range of technologies ranging from cell phones to rockets.

Already the US and China are the largest economies in the world, so who controls the world's largest micro chips producer probably controls the world.

Nobody wants war, but you can imagine two Elephants fighting, who suffers the most is the grass. But according to a recent survey in Taiwan, 10% of them, wants to join China, 39% do not and 51% wants things to main just like how they are.

Nevertheless, incase these two men decides to clash it's the woman in the middle who'll suffer.

Let's say no to war.

Why The West Is Against Communism

Origin Communism is a political and economic system in which the state owns the means of production, but the citizens are allocated goods and services in a fair and equal manner. The term communism derives from the Latin word communis, which means "common". The communist manifesto was written in 1848 by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Brief history The communist system of government started with the formation of the Soviet Union which started from 1917. During this period the country was led by Joseph Stalin who ruled the USSR from 1917 to 1953. Currently communism is still the system of government practiced in modern day Cuba, Vietnam Laos and China as well. The whole ideology was developed in the 19th century as a political and economic theory. The real deal The West has always been against communism, and has been consistently trying to stop communism from spreading. However, the West's opposition to communism is not quite as clear as it seems. The West's oppositio...

Why did Russia attack Ukraine?

It's been five days since Russia invaded Ukraine, fighting has since been going on between soldiers of both countries. Major landmarks in major cities of Ukraine have been taken down, civilian structures destroyed and some civilians killed. The question most people seek to ask is; What actually called for this war?  The North Atlantic Threaty Organization, NATO, was formed after the second world war by the United States , Canada,  England, Germany, France and some other European countries just to mention a few. Their main aim was to unite and stop a Soviet Union which kept on growing and gaining more power in Asia and some parts of Europe. This made it clear that NATO members were outright enemies of the Soviet Union and vice versa.  Fast forward in April 1961 when the Nazis have already surrended after WWII, the United States invaded Cuba, a sovereign country. Their reason was that Cuba, their neighbour had formed a Communist Government which makes them align to the Sovi...
